Walks you through every panel in the Tactical Race Room so you can make informed go/no-go decisions on race day.
The score card and weather controls help you assess conditions at a glance.
From Race Control, tap Open Race Room on any race card. The Tactical Race Room opens with the race name and status at the top.
The coloured score card at the top gives you an instant go or no-go assessment. Green is excellent, amber is fair, red means do not release. Tap How this score is calculated to see the breakdown of all nine factors.
Scroll down to the Weather Strip. It shows three cards for Liberation Point, Mid Route, and Home End. Each card displays temperature, rain probability, wind speed and direction, visibility, cloud cover, and pressure. Red or amber highlights warn you of bad conditions.
The 0 to 100 score combines weather at three checkpoints, route clashes, geomagnetic activity, sunrise timing, visibility, headwind, temperature, and sunset. Scores of 85+ are excellent.
Use the time scrubber to simulate different release times and find a better window.
Drag the time slider to simulate different release times. As you drag, the estimated velocity, flight duration, and arrival time update in real time. You can also tap Edit Time to set an exact date and time, or Move Site to change the liberation point.
When you are ready, release, hold, or complete the race.
Expand the alert accordions to see Route Clashes with other federations, Space Weather alerts, and Sunrise or Sunset warnings. The Member ETAs panel at the bottom shows each member's distance and estimated arrival time, highlighted if they are in range.
When conditions look good, tap Release and confirm. This notifies all members that the race is live. If conditions are bad, tap Hold to pause the race with a reason. After the race, tap Complete to mark it as finished.
The race score is an assistive tool, not a rule. Use your own judgement and local knowledge alongside it. If in doubt, contact your federation for guidance.
